2024 marks the 41st running of The Patos Island Race.
This race is open to all PHRF and approved one-design racers.
The Long Course is a Van Isle 360 qualifier and the event counts towards the Vancouver Island Racing Series (VIRS) as well as the BC Long Distance Championship.

Friday, April 12:

1600 – 2000 Racing Packages are available in the clubhouse
1730 – 1900 Dinner.  All-inclusive premium buffet.
1930 Briefings on weather, tides and currents
2000 Skippers Meeting

Saturday, April 13:

0800 – 0900 Pancake and sausage breakfast.  Includes coffee, tea, juice
1100 Long Course starts off Sidney waterfront. Short course to follow.
After finishing Complimentary Chili, buns, and coffee, tea, juice available for
sailors returning overnight.

Sunday, April 14:

0800 – 1100 Sunday Morning Hot Burrito Breakfast available at a reasonable price.
1100 Closing ceremonies and awards presentation in the SNSYC clubhouse

Guest Moorage for visiting yachts:

Available at the Yacht Club’s guest dock, North Saanich Marina. See MAP.  We will have personnel on the SNSYC reciprocal dock on Friday from 1400 hrs. until 1900 hrs. directing the boats to their slips. They will be monitoring Ch. 09.
The overflow moorage at Port Sidney Marina is available.  Call their marina office at 250-655-3711 to see if it is possible to book a slip.

Safety at Sea

Registration is now open for the Coastal Personal Survival Course at SNSYC on March 23.
Due to demand, two more courses have been added to the schedule.
